4. Find newer purposes: As humans, we desire the feeling of being needed and wanted in our family and society. Many seniors feel retirement spells an end to their independence and autonomy because they no longer hold a job or have something to contribute. In reality, life presents fresh opportunities for those enthused about finding them. From starting a business to volunteering, there are many ways seniors can find newer goals and get rewarding returns.

5. Do not let go of personal interests: Traversing through different phases and circumstances of life often has us putting our needs and wishes on the back burner - to return to them sometime in the future. Once, finally, we are done with social duties and responsibilities, we often lack the motivation to rekindle those desires. Hold on to those hobbies and use this time to give them wings and your life a new meaning.
